The PHL 4531 has amazing midrange for a 12" woofer , with a smooth response to 3000 Hz. It has good bass extension with high efficiency. It features a very fast and tight punchy bass like an 8" and is an excellent match with ribbons at 800 Hz. crossover. For best performance use a 85 liter vented enclosure for -3dB at 41 Hz. The port tune is 40 Hz., use two tubes each 4" diameter by 9" long. 300 watt amplifier = 118 dB.
